The Village

Barrington is a conservation village with houses built mainly of local stone or cob and many with a thatched roof. It has a population of about 400 and lies one mile from the southern edge of the Somerset Levels and 3 miles north of Ilminster in South Somerset.

Barrington is home to Barrington Court which celebrated its 100th anniversary as a National Trust property in 2007 and featured in the BBC's production of Wolf Hall filmed in 2014.
